Enjoying my day off...

from the law firm.

I slept in until 7:20.

Got up and made a full pot of percolated coffee and I will drink the whole thing throughout the morning.

I have baked the first batch of my "Dotted w/Frosting Pumpkin Cookies" for Saturday morning's farmer's market...

which has the house smelling like a cinnamonney, pumpkin, caramel delight!!

Buddy, the WONDER dog, has taken up residence in my garden...creating a smashed flower delight!


I still cannot believe it is the first day of autumn here in Chicago and it is reaching the upper, UPPER 80's...it is already dreadfully warm in the kitchen.

Which has me thinking...

maybe I should switch from coffee to something cold.
