"I have GOT to get going!"

I realized as I stood trance like in front of the telly this morning...mesmerized with all of the pomp and circumstance of the Royal Wedding, and suddenly realizing that not only did I have to get dressed, but that it is garbage day and I still had to drag the can to the street!

royalty smoyalty being a commoner makes me complete

Good Friday...

"At three o'clock, Jesus cried out in a loud voice, 'Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?' which is translated, 'My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?'

Thus it has long been a Good Friday tradition among many Christians to mark the hour of Jesus' death by observing a period of silent prayer and meditation. While it can certainly be less, traditionally this period lasts up to an hour and sometimes even longer. In fact, some include in their observance the three hours leading up to Jesus' death as well.

Some will even follow this "3 o'clock" period of prayer and meditation by refraining from loud conversation or activities throughout the remainder of the day - consciously avoiding anything that could distract one from the spirit of the day -which is one of sadness. It is a day that all Christians should spend in prayer, fasting and abstinence."

For the first time that I can recall, I have to work today. . .all day.

Needless to say, next year, I will be scheduling, at the least, a half day of vacation on Good Friday to mourn.

today at three oclock will be sitting at this law firm desk all forlorn

Left for me to find…

this week in and around my Chi-town. . .

for the reaching comfort of the professionally dressed older dude sitting in front of me on the train. . .

if it had fallen passengers below would have had scalding pain!

A landmark store on State Street has faded away. . .

wrecking ball soon will come out to play.

Chips that were consumed by my one and only son. . .

to see him for even a short time was fun.

And a treat for my Momma (her favorites) underground in the station. . .

if she ate them she might need hospitalization!
