Sunday Morning Blessing...

I had seated them. First, the older man, whom I recognized from past services, he always likes to sit in one of the last rows on my side. Next was a small man, with-oversized-for-his-face glasses and greasy, unkempt hair, and then, just as the service was starting, a woman walked in and joined them.

When it was time for collecting of the offering, the bag passed down their row; I then turned it in to the head usher and was on the way to my seat when I saw the woman waving at me. I walked over and she handed me, as their offering this. . .

thru tears I thanked her, went back to the head usher and placed the pennies in the bag.

Unashamedly she called me back to give. . .

three cents.

How divinely immense!

This beautiful Chicago Week in Pics…

I did click click clicks!!

At the Daley Plaza – a loner. . .

and in the West Loop – a stoner. . .

A Chicago Marathon runner. . .

And a sidewalk corner two ton-ner. . .

(I LOVE that he is underneath a pasted up poster for a MEDITATE event - maybe he is part of their marketing team!!)

I walked to Michigan Ave. to see Marilyn (again) so large. . .

Cleaning of that shoe I am happy I am not in charge. . .

Chicago’s finest mounted on their horses. . .

and the Blackhawks’ began their season with special forces. .

A camera that would make my snippet heart smile...

and if I ate all of these my pants would split after a while...

My new favorite Loop place to eat...

I hope his owner for this pose gave this "cute" dog a treat...

The colors of the trees contrasted well with the NBC logo...

and outside to lunch many people did go go...

There that is it!!

I am done with my posting pic fit!

"Stupid telephone lines!"

I thought as I took the picture.

It turns out that I like them in the shot...

they cut across at just the right place - separating the midwestern corn and the puffy cloud in a perfect summer Sunday sky!!

Just for fun...

1. I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was younger.

2. Just how are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?

3. Was learning cursive really necessary?

4. Map Quest really needs to start their directions on # 5. I'm pretty sure I know how to get out of my neighborhood.

5. Obituaries would be a lot more interesting if they told you how the person died.

6. I can't remember the last time I wasn't at least kind of tired.

7. Bad decisions make good stories.

8. You never know when it will strike, but there comes a moment at work when you know that you just aren't going to do anything productive for the rest of the day.

9. Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after Blue Ray? I don't want to have to restart my collection...again.

10. I'm always slightly terrified when I exit out of Word and it asks me if I want to save any changes to the ten-page pleading that I swear I did not make any changes to.

11. I disagree with Kay Jewelers. I would bet on any given Friday or Saturday night more kisses begin with Miller Lite than Kay.

12. I wish Google Maps had an "Avoid Ghetto" routing option.

13. I have a hard time deciphering the fine line between boredom and hunger.

14. How many times is it appropriate to say "What?" before you just nod and smile because you still didn't hear or understand a word they said?

15. I love the sense of camaraderie when an entire line of cars team up to prevent a jerk from cutting in at the front. Stay strong, brothers and sisters!

16. Shirts get dirty. Underwear gets dirty. Pants? Pants rarely get dirty, and you can wear them a long time between washings.

17. Sometimes I'll look down at my watch 3 consecutive times and still not know what time it is.

18. Even under ideal conditions people have trouble locating their car keys in a pocket, finding their cell phone, and pinning a tail on a donkey - but I'd bet everyone can find and push the snooze button from 3 feet away, in about 1.7 seconds, eyes closed, first time, every time.

19. The first testicular guard, the "Cup," was used in Hockey in 1874 and the first helmet was used in 1974. That means it only took 100 years for men to realize that their brain is also important. (Women reading this just smiled!)

That is all I have for today!!

I was born a May.

I saw a cooler by...

the railroad track.

In case you have a picnic attack?

Any food left in there might make you yak!

Beer comes in a six or twelve pack.

A cooler by the railroad track.

Three crows...

on a wire;

I wonder if from flappin' their wings they ever tire?

Some years back they were hardly around...

now everywhere they can be again found!

Three crows on a wire this morning I saw.

Fighting while squawking their "caw-caw-caw!"

Three crows on a wire!
